北海道、本州及び九州（対馬）に分布する。温帯域に広く分布するものと思われる。本種の脚はほぼ一応に暗色で、頭部は一応に網目状の刻紋を備える。また、触角第3節は基部付近がやや細く、4本の感覚錘を備える。主に広葉樹の枯れ枝に生息する。食菌性。

This species is distributed in Hokkaido, Honshu and Kyushu (Tsushima Is.). It is probably widely distributed in the temperate region. The legs are almost dark, and the head is entirely sculptured with polygonal reticulation. The antennal segment III is slightly thinner near the base and has four sense cones. It mainly lives on the dead branches of broad-leaved trees. Fungus-feeder.
